De Pere Memorial Day Parade
Participation is mandatory for all Rising, Shimmering, Shooting, & Shining Stars troupe members; it is optional, but encouraged, for Twinkling Stars & all other ATD dancers. We are also looking for adult supervisors to walk along the parade route. Please let Suezee, Jess, or Sharon know if you are interested.
We will be staging our group in the West De Pere High School Parking lot. Dancers can be dropped off by the De Pere Community Center on Grant Street between 8:30 & 9:00 a.m. The parade will start at 10 AM sharp. The bridge closes shortly after that so make your plans to get there early.
All walkers will be able to hand out candy along the curb to watchers. They are not to throw any candy. Please have them meet with Suezee at the staging site.
Pick up will be at the Kress library in East De Pere. Kids without adults will stay with Suezee until picked up by a parent/guardian.
We will be providing all troupe members a red tank top with the ATD logo on it. These are not yours to keep! All other dancers can wear Red, White & Blue shirts, black booty shorts (long, black pants if it’s cold, make sure your name is in them) and tennis shoes. If you wear anything but tennis shoes you will not be allowed to walk in the parade. All parade participants are to have their hair secured in a ponytail; if your hair is too short for a full pony; pull as much hair back as you are able.
Dancers are encouraged to bring a water bottle along, PLEASE put your name on it. Extra water is not provided.
Please let Sharon, Jess, or Suezee know if you are in troupe but NOT able to make it.
